It also suffers a bit in comparison to Reid’s Heated Rivalry, a book that captured magic. While I read it quickly and enjoyed it while I read it, it hasn’t stayed with me. Happily-ever-after might be staring them in the face, but it won’t happen if they’re too stubborn to come clean about their feelings. Common Goal was very readable, but perhaps suffered from having been read after a string of excellent books. And Kyle never expected their friends-with-benefits arrangement to leave him wanting more.
